Opening a travel agency buisness in Boston?
Hello to everyone.
Could any one please help me regarding opening a travel agency. I have a small buisness store and I want to convert it to a travel agent store. Does any one one know the required procedure? I am under the impression that if I complete a short term carreer course in Travel agency, pass a test, go to city hall and get permit/licence, then I could open up my store as a travel agent. Is this how it goes? I know I need experience but I figured as I study to pass the course, I would get that expereince. Please help anyone

You could first start off with a host agency since you will not have the airline plates to make bookings right away. You would have to generate a certain amount of Revenue before you get an airline plate.
You have to get licenses for Insurance and all other things. There are lots of host agencies around. You should of some knowledge of travel and there’s lots of people who have started a business without any knowledge and are very successful.
