What should I do to travel to Canada for working and studing? How can I get a scolarship?
I am Costa Rican and I want to travel to Canada to finish with my studies. I have Absolutely no clue how to start the process. I need some recommendations please!
In order to qualify for a International Student Visa in Canada, you must FIRST apply, and be accepted, by a Canadian University.
As a non citizen of Canada you don’t qualify for any scholarships here. And you will have to pay 100 percent of your course fees up front, AND have enough money to be able to support yourself, while living in Canada. That will be about $15,000 CDN a year for living costs, above the costs of the actual courses.
Once you have a letter of acceptance, from a recognized Canadian University, you can then apply to the Government of Canada, for a student visa. That will take 4 to 6 months to be approved.

A final point, as an International student visa holder, your full time job in Canada will be as a student, so don’t plan on being able to work here, that isn’t allowed.
A work visa is NOT the same as a student visa. You can apply for one, or the other, but not both.
